In this famous cafè that still maintains a great part of the original furniture, the most illustrious and intellectual artists and men of letters would gather during the late 1880’s.

Alfredo Caselli was a close childhood friend of Puccini, and later, he loved to mentor friendships between the great artists as the poet Giovanni Pascoli, Giuseppe Giacosa (Puccini’s librettist), composers Alfredo Catalani and Pietro Mascagni, painter Lorenzo Viani.
