GIACOMO PUCCINI
He was born in Lucca on 22nd December 1858, the fifth of nine children and the last descendant of a family of musicians. After his father death (1864) he spent his youth between his family house in Lucca and their summer house in Celle. At the age of nine, he entered the seminary and later became a choirboy and organ player in the Cathedral of Lucca. But young Puccini preferred opera to church services...

“普契尼和他的卢卡”
卢卡的常设国际普契尼音乐节
从3月31日到10月31日，音乐会每天在卢卡的San Giovanni教堂举行，晚上19：00点开始。
从11月15号到3月30号，音乐会定于每个星期四、星期五和星期六举行。
“普契尼和威尔第”音乐会定于每个星期四举行；“普契尼和莫扎特”定于每个星期五举行；“歌剧晚会”u定于每个星期六举行。
音乐会都在卢卡大教堂博物馆的小教堂 （Oratorio del Museo della Cattedrale di Lucca）举行，晚上19：00点开始。小教堂离San Giovanni教堂不远，位于San Martino大教堂的旁边。
